What is Hematology?
Hematology is the branch of medicine that deals with the study, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disorders related to the blood and blood-forming organs. Hematologists focus on diseases and conditions affecting the blood cells, bone marrow, spleen, and lymph nodes. Some common conditions treated by hematologists include:
